More than 19200 monitoring points have been built on major and secondary transportation arteries, key areas, 290 communities, and 1246 residential communities (buildings) in Xiamen, including more than 7000 monitoring points invested and constructed by the government. This time, the Xiamen Public Security Bureau has formulated an overall plan for the public security video surveillance system outside the island in response to the demand. According to the plan, Xiamen City plans to invest more than 6 million yuan to build a batch of high-definition video surveillance systems in the urban area outside Xiamen Island.
